Best 5 Shows To Watch on Apple TV Plus and Amazon Prime

Surprisingly, the majority of the shows I’m currently watching are available on Apple TV Plus. They are all unique in their own way, but one thing they all have in common is how compelling the stories are and how excellent the acting is. Check out some of the best shows to stream right now if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed.

  1. 1 Foundation (Apple TV + 2021-Present)

I was hooked in episode one and from it felt like the space version of Game of Thrones.  The show is a complex saga of humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy all living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. Dr. Hari Seldon and his loyal followers attempt to preserve their culture as the galaxy collapses around them.  Every twist and turn leads to edge-of-your-seat drama and action.  This is a must-see.

  2. 2 See (Apple TV+ 2020-Present)

I watched a trailer about the series but put it off until a co-worker urged me to watch it.  The concept is interesting especially the fact that in the future humankind has lost the ability to see and is forced to interact in new ways.  The ability to see is considered heresy and that became the main plot because a set of twins with sight is born, and their existence challenges the status quo.  It stars Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard in their greatest dramatic performances.

  3. 3 The Morning Show (Apple TV+ 2019-Present)

If you've ever wondered how a morning television show is made or what it takes to get up every morning and make that kind of show, this drama series is for you. It truly is a behind-the-scenes look at the modern workplace through the eyes of those who help America wake up, lifting the curtain on early morning television. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon star in one of their best drama roles. It has the feel of Newsroom (2012-2014), but with a greater emphasis on the female talent steering the ship. It is unquestionably a must-see.

  4. 4 Invasion (Apple TV+ 2021-Present)

SciFi shows have the ability to explore stories that are not grounded in reality and can appear impossible. The realism with which this story is told makes it compelling, especially when it involves the telling of an alien invasion chronicled by piecing together various perspectives of people from all over the world. Throughout the series, it delves into various tones, leading viewers to expect drama in one episode then horror in another with spectacular results. This is one of my favorites, and it's a must-see.

  5. 5 Wheel of Time (Amazon Prime 2021-Present)

A fantastical story that started with Moiraine, a member of a magical organization, who embarks on a journey with five young people, believing that one of them might be the reincarnation of the Dragon, a powerful individual prophesied to save the world or destroy it.  Right away, this show felt like a mash-up of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.
