Ahead of a campaign rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, President Donald Trump spoke to reporters, discussing trade with China, saying his tariffs “have really bitten into China.” Trump said “at some point [U.S. consumers] may have to pay something,” due to the tariffs that have come as part of the ongoing trade war between the U.S. and China. The president also discussed gun violence, which he said was about “mental illness,” and not about gun control legislation. “I think we have to start building institutions again,” Trump said about mental institutions, adding “we don’t want to see crazy people owning guns… it’s them, they pull the trigger.”
