Business at the Jamaican Historic Faith’s Pen Food Stop is Dying

Vendors urging tourists and Jamaican travelers to visit the historic Faiths Pen Street Food Stands in St. Mary.

As a child one of my earliest memories was traveling to Kingston and taking a rest stop at Faith's Pen. At the time I ate pork, chicken and beef so I was enjoyed the best of Jamaican cruisines at this rest stop.  In addition, travelers could enjoy refreshing beverages like many flavors of Cola Champagne, Red Stripe beer, Stone Ginger Wine and Magnum Tonic.

Unfortunately in recent years with the development of the highway less traffic travel through the area and as a result revenue for vendors decrease.  Although there is a new area that was developed along the new highway, traffic stops continues to decrease.  Vendors are urging travelers not to forget about this historic stop and help to preserve its relevance by sharing the story to create exposure.  Please share this.
