There are several great movies that are adapted from books and they really do them justice. Unfortunately, over zealous directors can ruin books because they ruin it with the movies they make. This list consists of five movies we at FiWEH Life believe are the worse of the worse. There are several but we only choose the ones we recently watched.
Who would have thought that the guy from 300 could ruin the story from a good book. The details in the good made the adventure through to the past more exciting than what made it in the movie. I was excited to watch the movie after I read the book, but I was very disappointed by what I saw.
After reading the book series, I was excited to see how the story would be interpreted on screen. I shouldn’t have been curious because that only led to more disappointment. The movies were very terrible the studio decided to abandon all plans to release the final part of the two part movie.
The Time Machine
H.G. Wells great time machine story was unique when it was published in 1895. The concepts of the future was something readers without modern technology were able to escape to. Unfortunately, the movie was something people wanted to escape from. It was an absolute bore, a do disservice to the classic story.
The Girl In The Spider’s Web
After reading the first three books and also enjoying the Swedish version of the books which did a halfway decent job, I was enthusiastic about the latest change in the story. I read the book in three days and was somewhat impressed with the new author did with the characters. Unfortunately, the movie was a complete alternate universe version of what was in the book. There were scenes that did not exist in the book. It was very frustrating to watch because of the inconsistencies. The movie version of the characters were nothing like they were described in the book. After I got to the end, I demanded my time back.
Angels & Demons
Tom Hanks is not an actor that usually disappoint viewers, but this adaption of Dan Browns first book is an absolute bore and is nothing like the book. If you are interested in books by Dan Brown avoid the movies, they do not do them any justice.
The Da’Vinci Code
For a book that offered several evidence of biblical contradiction, the movie reduced the revelations to fictional interpretations. They made the movie to be so far from the book, viewers won’t get the chance to question the religious concept because the most convincing information never made it to the movie. If you want to really learn about the catholic church watch the below documentary.
