After his storied career, he went on to be drafted by the Chicago White Sox with the 23rd pick in the 2009 MLB draft — two spots before the Los Angeles Angeles, who also had the 24th pick, took Mike Trout. After a devastating injury, he’s still chasing his Major League dream, playing independent baseball for the Sugar Land Skeeters in Texas.
