While growing up in Jamaica, I use to watch Star Trek: The Next Generation every saturday night and for good reason. It is by far one of the best in the franchise. While hanging out at a friends house after school I watched the very first Star Wars movie and the only think I remembered was a line during a space battle “Stay on target”. Unfortunately, would be years later I got the opportunity to rewatch all the shows and movies in both franchise. After catching up, I made my decision on which one I prefer.

It was not hard deciding because I am practical and that weighed heavy on my decision. For me Star Trek is move practical and focus on more science than fantasy. I understand Star Wars is a fantasy but the stories and plots are weak. Star Trek has a long built in history for each race that are encountered.
But my reasons may differ from yours, so tell me in the comments section below the reason for your choice.
