Reggae Boyz Football fans get ready for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, but before the first game kicks off in June, here are some things you need to know.

Which teams will be playing in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup?

There are sixteen teams playing this year for the chance to win the coveted CONCACAF Gold Cup trophy and Jamaica is among them. The below is the list of the countries with teams in the competition:

There are several teams returning, but this year *Bermuda and Guyana will be making their debut. The games will be held in venues in the U.S., Costa Rica and Jamaica. This will be the first Gold Cup in history to have three different nations playing the role of hosts.

How was the teams drawn in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup?

All pots were decided according to FIFA’s most recent ranking. The top four teams (Mexico, the USMNT, Costa Rica, and Honduras) were named as group seeds ahead of the draw. Added to that, Jamaica earned a direct spot alongside Honduras due to the Reggae Boyz being a co-host. The rest of the teams were allocated in pots according to their ranking. For example, Martinique, who is not a FIFA member, has been allocated on pot number 4.

Where will the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup be played?

This will be a special CONCACAF Gold Cup, as three nations will co-host the tournament for the first time in history. Costa Rica and Jamaica will each host two games, while the rest of the games are scheduled to be played in the United States. The opening game, featuring Mexico, will be played at the Rose Bowl, in Pasadena. The title match will be held at Soldier Field in Chicago.
