“Fox & Friends” took a moment on Wednesday to celebrate Cher, praising the iconic musician for a number of tweets that they said showed she was willing to publicly stand up to the Democratic party.

“She’s taking on her own party, saying some of these ideas are so radical,” Fox News journalist Ed Henry said.

“She’d rather be dead than red,” noted show co-host Ainsley Earhardt. “So she’s not becoming a Republican or conservative but she is disagreeing with some of these ludicrous polices.”

The show — which opened to Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time” — zeroed in on a tweet which appeared to call out Bernie Sanders for his position that felons, including those currently incarcerated, should be allowed the right to vote.

“Does Bernie Sanders Really Believe Ppl In Prison Who Are Murderers?! Rapists!? Child Molesters!? BOSTON BOMBERS …STILL DESERVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE,” Cher said in a post that was later deleted.

The tweet from Cher came after Sen. Sanders made headlines during a CNN town hall earlier this week in which he refused to back down from his position that the right to vote extended to all American citizens and applied “even for terrible people.” The line came after he was asked by an audience member directly about whether the Boston bombers should be allowed to vote.

The response seemingly caught moderator Chris Cuomo by surprise, who quipped that Sanders was “writing an opposition ad” against himself.

It’s not the first time a Cher tweet has raised eyebrows. On the same segment, “Fox & Friends” also made a callback to a still-live tweet from last week in which she objected to sanctuary cities like Los Angeles taking in more illegal immigrants.

“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+????????Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY?” she said. “If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More.”

The line won instant applause from conservatives like James Woods and Ben Shapiro. Even President Trump tweeted out a screenshot of the post, noting his own approval. “I finally agree with @Cher,” he said.
